hsf1^del7
Strain information | |
---|---|
Strain ID | MT1431 |
Strain Name | hsf1^del7 |
Strain Type | Mutants |
Characteristics | A 7 bp was deleted in exon 9 of hsf1 (heat shock transcription factor 1) gene by the TALEN genome editing system. This region contains essential phosphorylation sites required for the activation of Hsf1. The mutation results in a defective Hsf1 function. Because homozygote females are infertile, hsf1 KO medaka were produced by mating KO male fish with heterogenous female fish. |
